The Grand Encampment of Knights Templar, U.S.A. is an amazing organization that has superb programs, and is comprised of great leaders, both past and present. The time is now to begin crafting a long range strategic plan to ensure the success of our organization.
In my job as a city manager, strategic planning requires great thought, and must be planned for decades in advance. This is a process that must be done now. We currently enjoy Templary because of the vision of our founders and current leaders. We must now plan for the future of Templary.
We must remember that we are not an organization designed to only last 200 years. There are thousands of men who will one day be Knights Templar. We must lead the organization to be ready to receive those men. I believe that my experience, and ability to lead while making critical and decisive decisions under pressure will be beneficial to the Grand Encampment as we focus on the future.
I look forward to working on the team elected by – and serving – you to ensure that we leave a legacy for those who come behind us. It is our leadership today, which will ensure our survival tomorrow.
